The Senior Peer Worker – Suicide Prevention Alternatives to Emergency Department will provide support to consumers experiencing mental health issues, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Senior Peer Worker will have a strong connection to consumers through their own experience of mental illness.
In this unique model of care you will use your personal lived experience of suicidal crisis or caring for someone experiencing suicidal crisis to provide appropriate, responsive care in a warm, welcoming, non-medical environment, working with other professionals, supporting and linking guests with appropriate services.
