AddressBe Recruitment is currently seeking a Social Worker, Psychologist or Counsellor for a specialist Adults Mental Health Program in the Bowral area
This fantastic opportunity will deliver therapeutic interventions, psychosocial support, and care coordination. This role uses a recovery-based model to support clients to recover from mental illness and support family members.
This position is on a contract until December 2025 a supportive and collaborative team. Previous experience in a community mental health program and knowledge of the social issues associated with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss are mandatory to succeed in this rewarding role. This is an autonomous role offered 5 days per week.
Duties:
- Support clients through strength-based and recovery-case therapeutic interventions
- Build key working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders such as Social Workers, Psychologist, GPs, and other Allied Health professionals
- Fantastic interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
- Maintain clear and precise case notes
- Demonstrated understanding of recovery principles
- Work collaboratively in a team
- Working 1 day per week in Residential Aged Care and the other 3 days visiting clients in their homes.
- Experience in a community mental health program
- Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling with relevant membership of the respective professional body
- A current NSW driver's license is essential & owning a car
- NSW Working With Children Check
