My client is seeking a passionate people leader who has a genuine desire to improve the workplace culture; for themselves and others through team development, authentic leadership, and strong HR professionalism. This is a critical role providing operational exposure within a small agency environment in APS Recruitment and Mobility, Entry Level Programs, Onboarding, Exits, and Employee Experience functions.

In this role you will manage a small team to work in partnership with Executive, managers, and employees to provide quality best practice HR advice and support the People and Culture team in building innovative streamlined recruitment processes. In a small agency you will also contribute to other areas of HR including performance, diversity and inclusion and learning and development.
The ideal candidate will have:
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in HR, preferably with at least 2 years working in APS Recruitment
- Qualifications in HR (desired)
- Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end recruitment functions
- Ability to deliver innovative solutions-based improvements to improve the employee experience throughout the employee life-cycle
- Solid experience in working across multi-function stakeholder groups
- Sound understanding of Aurion system (desired)
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
- Collaborative and engaging business partnering style, with the ability to influence for change
- Proven ability communicating to internal audiences, as well as excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Experience with direct management of less experienced team members
- Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Demonstrates a willingness to actively work with others to explore improvement opportunities
- Can coach and manage the performance outputs of a small team
- Thinks broadly when working to identify opportunities for improvement and uses initiative to add value
- Takes pride in being a HR professional and acts in accordance with professional standards at all times
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask competing demands
- Ability to handle and uphold confidentiality
