Senior People and Culture Advisor

This exciting, customer centric role will see you responsible for providing strategic performance management support and guidance across the Affinity Education Group workforce. This includes activities such as performance management, retention, employee relations and grievances. Reporting to the National Performance and Wellbeing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting team members who are committed to providing exceptional care for children within their centres.
Your role
Based in Brisbane’s CBD (there are some WFH options available) this exciting role will see you;
- Conduct incident investigations to ensure appropriate performance management is actioned, logged, and followed up on
- Provide HR advice across the full employee lifecycle including employee relations and performance management, remuneration, employee engagement, policies and procedures, workplace health and safety matters
- Provide advice and strategies to drive high performing centres
- Manage the grievance process and conduct investigations
- Develop, maintain and improve HR systems and processes and provide reports where required
- Creation, tracking and monitoring of development plans for centre leadership teams
- Review performance of new hires within probation in consultation with Centre Managers
To be successful in this role you must have the following attributes;
- Bachelor of Human Resource Management (or equivalent)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a high volume, fast paced employee relations/performance management role
- Experience in partnering with and influencing all business levels including service staff and management
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate HR strategies into tangible business impacts and opportunities
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and industry trends
- High level of interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, writing and communication skills.
- Ability to promote a positive team culture and resolve conflicts effectively
- Intermediate skills utilising a talent/human resource information system
- Experience interpreting and applying relevant Awards and National Employment Standards
- Exceptionally strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt within a constantly changing environment.
