The Project
UGL and CPB Contractors have been awarded the early works contract to support Powerlink’s delivery of CopperString 2032. This $5 billion iconic project will initially be approximately 840 kilometres of new transmission line running from just south of Townsville to Mount Isa that will connect Queensland’s North West Minerals Province to the national electricity grid. The project scope includes:
- 500 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from just south of Townsville to Hughenden
- 330kV transmission line from Hughenden to Cloncurry
- 220kV transmission line from Cloncurry to Mount Isa
- Up to six new substation sites.
As the Senior People & Culture Business Partner, you will ensure all HR deliverables are met whilst delivering effective, high quality and accurate HR/ER/IR advice to people managers and employees within the project.
About the role
- Contribute to developing and implementing the P&C strategy, in alignment with the overall business and project strategy.
- Analysis and interpretation of data and information to transfer into commercial solutions.
- Collate and prepare HR metrics, organisational charts and headcount reporting activities.
- Manage the delivery of People and Culture generalist activities over the employee lifecycle ensuring compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.
- Provide timely and accurate P&C/ER/IR advice to managers and employees on a range of P&C issues including renumeration, retention initiatives, succession planning, conduct and capability matters, grievances, organisation change, and a range of employment and employee relation matters.
- Lead and support the mobilisation process and ensure HR deliverables are met.
- Accountable for the delivery of the project resourcing plan.
- 7+ years proven experience, in a Senior HR Business Partner role & within a similar environment
- Project site-based HR experience highly regarded with exposure to construction projects with a multi-disciplined workforce.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR / IR or a related discipline
- Results/goal driven work experience and focus
- Experience managing key internal and external stakeholders, including being a key interface with the client
- Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables, and work efficiencies.
