In this role you will be providing a comprehensive clinical and pharmaceutical service in the specialised cardiology of the pharmacy department. Undertaking responsibility for the operational oversight of pharmancy services in the cardiology ward, outpatient cardiology clinics and outpatient group education. Managerial, clinical and dispensary pharmacy duties are included as part of the responsibilities of the specialist cardiology pharmacist. Working in a multidisciplinary team, assisting in training of pharmacy staff, review and development of protocols and policies, ensuring that legislative requirements are followed focusing on high quality and safe medication management. Working closely with other senior roles to support the Director of Pharmacy to ensure the provision of safe and cost-effective medication management focusing on patient centered care to ensure optimal health outcomes.
If you have:
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist
- Extensive recent experience in hospital based clinical pharmacy practice or equivalent clinical experience in a community setting along with knowledge of contemporary clinical pharmacy practice and relevant professional standards and codes of practice
- Well developed and proven organisation, planning and leadership skills with the ability to implement initiatives and provide ongoing review of a clinical pharmacy practice
- Use of judgement, initiative and independence in problem solving in complex medication Issues in patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular disease
