Access the National Relay Service
Physiotherapy service provision at Gympie Hospital includes services to the following wards: general medical, surgical, mixed paediatric/neonatal/maternity, rehabilitation, and Emergency Department. Your role may also include outpatient services. The role may involve the provision of Vestibular Assessments, this skillset is desirable but not essential for commencement.
Physiotherapist within SCHHS work as a team to meet clinical demand in keeping with Clinical Prioritisation Document. Staff will be required to work across other clinical services and facilities within SCHHS as required to assist in meeting patient care needs, managing leave cover, and succession planning of staff. Staff may be required to rotate across SCHHS as per Allied Health Rotation Guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level Physiotherapy clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Physiotherapy practitioners and students as delegated.
Remuneration value up to $12 730 p.m., comprising salary between $4769.60 - $5132.40 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary position available for ten months).
