Your opportunity at FIELD
As a Senior Engineer, based in Brisbane, Gladstone, or Mackay, you will use your piping and Mechanical Engineering expertise to work closely with our clients to develop creative solutions to their challenges. Some travel to client sites will be required from time to time.
We specialise in small to medium-sized projects and are not afraid to take on work that others might consider challenging or high risk. You’ll be mainly working on existing infrastructure for heavy industrial plant and industries including mining, minerals and chemical processing and power generation.
You'll get the satisfaction of taking diverse projects from start to end while working with a tight-knit, like-minded team.
What you’ll bring
To succeed in this role, you will:
- be degree qualified – B Eng (Mechanical) or similar is the minimum requirement
- have attained your RPEQ/CPEng
- bring skills in pipe and vessel stress analysis, heat transfer and piping systems design; and knowledge of relevant design standards
- be proficient in Plant 3D, or a similar Design Package
- like nothing better than to sink your teeth into a challenging problem
- enjoy working autonomously to get stuff done
- be solutions focussed and enjoy finding a workable outcome to sometimes daunting problems.
- be a confident communicator focussed on developing relationships with your clients and other project stakeholders
- be keen to share your skills, coach our up-and-coming engineers and lead small work groups
- bring practical expertise and wisdom gained through your previous roles in heavy industry or mining.
