The Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance (ALUA) is an Alliance partnership between Acciona Construction Australia, BMD Constructions, WSP Australia, AECOM Australia and the Public Transport Authority (PTA). The Alliance is delivering the Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal project which will, elevated three sections of the rail line and remove six level crossings, create 5 new elevated train stations and create new publicly accessible spaces within the rail corridor.

Permanent Full-Time Position
We are recruiting for a Senior Planner on a Full Time basis to work in partnership with our Project Controls team to manage a broad range of planning, reporting and progress tracking activities.
Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for:
Actively and constantly identifies risk and opportunity for the project in relation to area of control and the wider project
Manage the development and approval of all project programs and plans, and other requirements in accordance with commercial requirements
Ensure understanding of construction techniques, material choices, and quality benchmarks, while interpreting plans and construction procedures throughout the project
Communicates and escalates risk and opportunity as required to best protect the interests of the project
Monitoring design modifications, evaluating cost implications, and quantifying and negotiating design variations during process
Understand and adhere to the contractual requirements of ALUA in relation to the client and other 3rd parties where a commercial interface exists, always placing the best interests of ALUA at the forefront of decision making
Develops program, manages and implements relevant program systems to monitor the progress of the project
Review site status reports and ensure that construction programs satisfy the requirements of the project.
Required Skills and Competencies
A tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent; previous experience with P6 is required
Previous experience in a similar role ideally from within the construction or resources industry
Experience influencing and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve outcomes whilst develop strong working relationships.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve;
Proven communicator who can lead and influence.
