The
Senior Plant Inspector will play a critical role in our operations by overseeing the inspection and integrity management activities of our oil and gas facilities. This position requires a thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and optimize asset performance.The
Senior Plant Inspector will lead a team of inspectors, coordinate inspection schedules, and collaborate with various departments to implement effective inspection strategies.
Key responsibilities include:- Coordinating and executing in-service inspection and NDT activities across the facilities.
- Liaising with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering personnel, as needed, to coordinate, offer technical support, and conduct inspection activities on the offshore facilities.
- Contributing to shutdown inspection activities, assisting in the overall execution of inspections, and ensuring timely delivery of inspection services to meet shutdown schedules.
- Providing input for the development of optimized inspection philosophies, strategies, and plans aimed at reducing the impact of inspections on plant availability, all while ensuring integrity is upheld.
- Contributing to the creation of streamlined inspection philosophies, strategies, and plans aimed at minimizing the effect of inspections on plant availability, all while ensuring integrity is maintained.
- Supervising and mentor team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Certification in pressure equipment inspection (such as Senior AICIP or equivalent) and NDT (for instance, AINDT or equivalent) is required.
- A diploma or higher education in materials or mechanical engineering would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant International, Australian and industry inspection standards and regulations relating to pressure systems highly desirable.
- Have suitable transportation to and from the Ichthys LNG Onshore Processing Facility located at Bladin Point.
- Current Australian driver's license
- Strong interpersonal skills in fostering teamwork, collaboration, and diversity.
