We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Plant Technician - Mechanical to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of operation and maintenance tasks for the plant and equipment at our Power Station. Your primary focus will be ensuring the economic operation, reliability, efficiency, and optimized performance of the plant.
Key responsibilities: Implement and adhere to HSEC systems as designated by Origin Policy and Procedure on a continuous basis Carry out ongoing plant operations, inspections, and maintenance activities Utilize cutting-edge technology to perform inspections, preventative, planned, unplanned, and corrective maintenance and repairs Provide callout support outside of normal working hours Assist in project and outage management and coordination Engage and coordinate contractors performing specialist work Be willing to work flexibly to support other Origin Power Stations as required, such as major outage support or coverage for periods of extended leave Provide coverage for the site's Plant Manager as needed What you will bring: Possess a Mechanical Trade Certificate with post trade experience Provide an advanced level of technical advice to the site regarding effective operations and maintenance Exhibit strong communication skills, leading by example and delivering results Demonstrate excellent planning and organising skills Possess effective computer literacy, including advanced experience in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP) and SCADA/DCS/PLC's.
Have experience with safe access, isolation, and Permit systems Preferably, have Gas Turbine Operation or Maintenance experience or Heavy Industry Experience Possess HV Switching experience Have a thorough understanding of condition monitoring methods, equipment control, and processes within power generation or similar heavy industry Demonstrate intermediate or advanced experience in fault-finding and repairing associated plant and equipment Origin - Where good change happens At Origin, we’re powered by people who believe in creating change.
