What you'll be doing
This is an exciting, once in a career opportunity to join the new statewide workforce pool known as ‘CRU’, the .
We are looking for a Senior Podiatrist, this position is responsible for providing quality specialised clinical services to a complex caseload involving clients with diabetes and high risk feet (for example diabetes or vascular conditions). This includes those with ulceration, infection, neuro-arthropathy and amputation. The complexity of these clients requires clinical expertise, knowledge and advanced reasoning and practice skills. This position will provide direction to administrative staff, other clinicians, and students.

Where you'll be working
The CRU Podiatrist workforce will be deployed to locations for anywhere between two and thirteen weeks to support short-term staffing needs. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of health settings when on deployment.

Selection Criteria * Current general Podiatry registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a multi-disciplinary team, to apply advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel, complex or critical nature.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  • Current drivers’ licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional/remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.
