Where are all the Health Policy specialists at? With business in all states of Australia, our client provides a full suite of IT services to the Public Sector, Transportation, Retail, Insurance and Financial Services industries.
Seeking Senior Policy Analyst to support the inflight delivery of a Health Information Exchange System. The new system will support more connected care and better patient outcomes across Public health services.
Amongst key deliveries the project will deliver secure sharing of pathology reports, patient summaries and episodes of care to clinicians working within nine metropolitan health services. The system works by integrating with health service clinical systems including Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Patient Administration System (PAS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
The Senior Policy Analyst will ideally have a strong policy background preferably in government / and or health environments.
Overview of Project
- Technical team delivering technical services. However this is complimentary work related to Privacy
- Legislation related to Privacy management framework – Delivered by another vendor
- Support required is for Business analysis for gathering information & documentation
- Business processes, policies required in Healthcare
- With the privacy work assessment, several artefacts are there- Policies, procedures etc related to Department & Healthcare
- Person who can Hit the ground running- delivering content to several base artifacts by end of march
- End Deadline for the project is May
- Work is complex and they want to restrict work to privacy framework
- Resource should be open to taking directives and to interact with key business stakeholders . For ex: - For Policy related to privacy, he will need to talk to team for Identity and access management etc
- Quality management is very important
- Previous experience in working with Victorian health Govt
- Someone who is senior must be able to grasp things and get on ground quickly
- Business focused rather than technical focused

- Clear , concise documentation, meeting needs of business, writing skills
- Policy background- Policy writer- Locate key issues on the ground
- Organizational awareness of public sector, Experience in Public sector
