Tax Analysis Division and the Personal and Indirect Tax and Charities Division in Treasury are seeking to fill multiple positions in these two key work areas.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
For Assistant Director (EL1) positions you will have strong written and oral communication skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships, high level problem solving abilities, and the ability to work in the following areas:
- Tax Analysis Division – tax policy costings and analysis, updating and clearing into Budget papers, Intergenerational Report and Tax Expenditures and Insights Statement and model development and management. Applicants will ideally have experience in economics or a quantitative field. Experience in SAS and R would be an advantage.
- Personal and Indirect Tax and Charities Division – provision of advice to Government (options/analysis), developing measures or Budget and Mid-Year Economic and Fiscal Outlook, and implementing announced measures. Candidates with diverse experience and interests are encouraged to apply and some experience or interest in tax, not-for-profits, or regulation is desirable.
For Senior Policy Analyst (APS6) and Policy Analyst (APS5) positions you will have developed research and analytical skills, ability to partner and work effectively with colleagues, and effective communication skills. You will consider the strategic objectives of your work and have a strong outcome focus.
