Senior Policy and Partnership Officer - SCA (Strengthening Communities Alliance)
New exciting and dynamic role. Part-time (3 days per week) with flexible hours and days. Semi-remote work accepted, occasional on-site presence at Uniting's Sydney CBD office.

About the Strengthening Community Alliance: A network of likeminded organisations, dedicated to fostering positive social change through place-based work. Our goal is to catalyse transformational change in systems to enable community-led and place-based work to thrive.
About the Role: You'll play a pivotal role in driving the work and ambition of the Alliance by providing crucial coordination, strategic advice, and support to the Alliance's leadership group.
Your responsibilities include coordinating the work plan of the Alliance, fostering and nurturing relationships to build its influence, monitoring policy trends and developing position papers and submissions on behalf of the group.
Your skills in writing and synthesising information are essential, plus excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain and grow stakeholder relationships and database.
  • Drive the Alliance strategy by translating strategy into action.
  • Provide strategic advice and contribute to the analysis of complex research, Policy and advocacy issues specific to the Alliance's work.
  • Develop funding proposals.
  • Coordinate meetings and activities
Key Capabilities:
  • Understanding and passion for place-based change

  • Strong organisational abilities
  • Proven stakeholder management
  • Ability to translate strategy into action.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary/Bachelor qualification in relevant field.
Desirable:
Experience in writing funding proposals and collaborating in non-traditional organisational structures.
