The Curriculum and Learning Branch has multiple vacancies for Senior Policy, Program and Project Officers (APS6), spanning all aspects of the Australian Curriculum, senior secondary schooling, and student engagement. Successful candidates will work with key stakeholders across Australia, including state and territory governments, the non-government sector, and agencies such as Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA), and Education Services Australia (ESA). The Branch is supportive of flexible and remote working arrangements, in accordance the Department of Education Enterprise Agreement 2024-2027.
About the role
Successful candidates will join one of four teams:
• Student Learning and Transitions Team
• Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Team
• Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Team
• Student Engagement and Literacy Team
About you
We are seeking individuals with various combinations of the following skills and capabilities:
• Demonstrated experience in policy development and/or program/project management
• Good judgement and prioritisation skills, with ability to take initiative and work independently under broad direction
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated capacity to deliver on required outcomes to a high standard, including under tight timeframes
• Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate uncertainty and evolving priorities.
