The successful candidate will be responsible for tactical planning and scheduling for drilling operations in mining and exploration operations across the short and medium term planning horizon .Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Scheduling, Resource Development and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be:Lead and manage a team of Planner/Schedulers within the broader Resource Development planning teamDevelop, own and effectively communicate quality short term execution schedules on a two-weekly basis, including the reporting functionality to assist in inputting, aligning, measuring, conforming and reconciling production schedulesDevelop routines to assist in inputting, aligning, measuring, conforming and reconciling 2 week & monthly production schedulesDevelop and facilitate escalation matrix for critical hold/decision points for plan executionOwn relationship with Mine Technical Services Schedulers / Project Engineers and align Resource Development quarterly production plan into the 2 week execution planDevelop robust processes and routines of inputting actual time and physicals into the Primavera P6 Resource Development scheduleDevelop reconciliation tactics, lessons learnt and handover scope closure to the drilling and Rehabilitation portfoliosContribute towards a strong safety culture across Resource Development through leadership in the field and championing safety improvements.
