Anglicare provides the Housing Connect Front Door Service across Tasmania. Housing Connect is the entry point for assistance for people who are experiencing homelessness or are in housing need.

About the Role:
We seeking a Community Services Practitioner who has experience as a senior leader and the ability to understand the big picture. These skills will be used to support, manage and monitor staff and the services within the Southern Housing Connect Front Door. The role is responsible for managing teams, reaching performance targets, completing reporting requirements, liaising with senior colleagues and ensuring that a quality service is delivered to people experiencing housing issues.
To be successful you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in building, inspiring and leading teams including monitoring team performance.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving and resilience skills including the ability to maintain a positive outlook, see the ‘bigger picture’, identify opportunities, and implement solutions.
- High level demonstrated understanding and application of evidence-based service design into practice.
- Capacity to present service models and innovations to teams and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in providing a high level of advice on a range of practice and service delivery issues, particularly in relation to evidence-based practice.
The Senior Practice Manager:
- Provide support, supervision, advice and guidance to staff
- Liaise with senior colleagues
- Maintain oversight and coordination of practices
- Provide staff development
- Contribute to ongoing innovation of practices

The successful applicant will be required to:
- provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
- present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
- provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
- provide a satisfactory Anglicare-assessed medical:
- provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
On commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
