Senior Practitioner, Child and Family Services
As an experienced Senior Practitioner, you will provide supervision and guidance to service delivery teams to ensure services are delivered to children and families to help strengthen relationships, enhance protective factors across the child development continuum and improve their social and emotional wellbeing.
This opportunity will suit someone who has an interest in integrated service delivery and a passion for promoting child safety and wellbeing.
Does this describe you?
You have a passion for promoting and protecting children’s rights, striving every day to improve the safety, wellbeing and development of children and families. Empowering children, young people, parents, carers, and families to develop their knowledge, skills and resilience is a key motivator for you. You have extensive experience and knowledge of Child and Family centred practice, child development and mental health, particularly with vulnerable families and children from backgrounds of trauma and, or disadvantage. You are keen to provide guidance and practice supervision to a small team.
You will also bring the following to the role:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Science or equivalent.
- Experience working in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.
- Attuned to signs of harm and ability to facilitate child friendly ways for children and young people to express their views, participate in decision-making and raise their concerns.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Child and Family-centred practice particularly that of families and children experiencing trauma and/or disadvantage.

Location
This role is based at Bowden just a short walk to the popular Plant 3 and Plant 4 entertainment complex in Gibson Street, however some off-site work will be required.
