Dynamic, and well-respected resources industry supplier, which operates a state-of-the-art industrial chemicals manufacturing facility based in regional Queensland. This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to gain exposure across production, design & projects within the business.
Your Role
Based on-site and reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure optimal process efficiency and continuous improvement across this impressive major hazard facility. With a strong focus on operational support and engagement, key aspects of your role will include:
- Effectively monitoring plant performance to drive ongoing plant optimisation and continuous improvement
- Engaging closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to provide ongoing technical and troubleshooting support to improve plant efficiency and process safety
- Using your Process Engineering expertise to play a key role in the development of the Process Improvement Plan and Five-Year Plan
- Identifying plant bottlenecks, control issues and design flaws, as well as leading root cause analysis, to develop solutions that will minimise production loss and improve performance and efficiency
- Involvement in design, construction and commissioning stages of plant upgrade, maintenance and improvement projects
Your Experience
You are a Senior Process Engineer with proven site experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar industry. Safety will be at the forefront of everything you do, with strength in undertaking root cause analysis and process/continuous improvement initiatives. Given the role’s impact across the business, you will demonstrate highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing capability to drive positive outcomes and high levels of engagement across the workforce.
Other skills required:
- Tertiary qualifications in process/chemical engineering
- 7+ year experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar industry
- RPEQ/CPENG or commitment to achieve within the first 6months.
