Based on-site and reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure optimal process efficiency and continuous improvement across this impressive major hazard facility. With a strong focus on operational support and engagement, key aspects of your role will include:
- Effectively monitoring plant performance to drive ongoing plant optimisation and continuous improvement
- Engaging closely with operations, maintenance and engineering teams to provide ongoing technical and troubleshooting support to improve plant efficiency and process safety
- Using your Process Engineering expertise to play a key role in the development of the Process Improvement Plan and Five-Year Plan
- Identifying plant bottlenecks, control issues and design flaws, as well as leading root cause analysis, to develop solutions that will minimise production loss and improve performance and efficiency
- Involvement in design, construction and commissioning stages of plant upgrade, maintenance and improvement projects
Other skills required:
- Tertiary qualifications in process/chemical engineering
- 7+ year experience in a chemical manufacturing plant or similar industry
- RPEQ/CPENG or commitment to achieve within the first 6months.
