Our South Queensland Region has an opening for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Brisbane team. Ongoing success in delivery coupled with an expanding portfolio of major projects has created this rare and exciting career opportunity.
In this role you will lead a portfolio of different projects across a large range of environments including hydrogen, sustainability, bio-fuel, and water.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Work on a portfolio of different projects and apply your acquired skills and knowledge in a range of environments.
- Process calculations and Process simulations for the sizing of process equipment and preparing PFDs and P&IDs.
- Produce detailed reports with regard to engineering concept studies, FEED or Detail Design including support for cost estimations.
- Ensuring the quality of all Process Engineering input.
- Participation in process safety reviews, HAZOPS, and initiating their closeout.
- Supervision, knowledge sharing and mentoring of less experienced members of the team.
- Troubleshooting process problems, analysing and recommending solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
- Degree qualification in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Process Engineer.
- Design experience from concept through to detail design (consulting industry preferred).
- Be a Registered Practicing Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
- Strong knowledge in using process simulation tools and software e.g. Aspen Plus, Hysys.
- Dynamic modelling experience (wish).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a multitude of tasks and duties, ensuring delivery on time and to budget.
- Experience in the hydrogen / hydrocarbon / oil & gas / petrochemicals industry or hazardous process plant industries would be an advantage.
- Collaborative, team-orientated approach meeting the deadlines required of the client.
