Senior Process Specialist

Process Specialist Position, $70 per hour, 3-month contract

Working as a Senior Process Specialist on this 3-month contract, you have the opportunity to truly make an impact and support this automotive organisation in establishing a centre of excellence.

Your new role 
In your new role as a Senior Process Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for establishing and scaling vehicle processing build plans, OEA and fitment processes to best support the vehicle logistics flow, from point of shipment to final delivery, in order to contribute to the achievement of sales targets and profit objectives.

• Implements and reviews new processes and control measures to increase capacity within the Accessory Fitment area to meet plan targets and stakeholder commitments
• Study requirements and development tools and production aids to reduce cycle time and errors in accessory parts' fitment. 
• Liaise with accessory design departments to establish accurate expectations of part fitment deliverables to allow accurate forecasting and labour planning
• Provides specialist support for the assessment and selection of specialised suppliers in order to secure delivery of services at expected quality and at optimal cost. 
• Contributing to ongoing supplier management

What you'll need to succeed 
To succeed in this role, you will need at least 2 years experience in a Process Specialist role and must come from a strong automotive background.

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial preferred)

Experience in Process Design and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA).

Experience with SAP systems preferred

Understanding of the vehicle structure, its systems and operation is advantageous.

Experience in TPS, Lean or other Continuous Improvement practices
