Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities to ensure best practice, including provision of expert advice on specifications, evaluating offers, contract management and/or administration, supply market analysis and other general procurement activities.
- Lead by example in delivering highly complex and/or sensitive procurement services for the OPG, in line with Departmental procurement strategy and governance frameworks.
- Manage contracts through post-award lifecycle as the single point of contact for suppliers on all contract matters.
- Establish and maintain operational practices for monitoring, reporting, and strategy identification of contract performance and compliance
- Assist in building the procurement capability of staff by developing the knowledge and skills of team members and key stakeholders.
- Provide assistance in the development of and support procurement services strategy, governance frameworks and plans in line with strategic outcomes defined by the OPG.
- Undertake higher level analysis and investigation of governance and information systems and provide technical advice and solutions which support business needs and client service delivery standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of OPG strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to enhance quality of procurement, contract management and corporate governance processes.
- Manage allocated governance projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity and transparency requirements are addressed.
- Coordinate and prepare high level, timely and accurate reporting that provides visibility of the area's status, dependencies, issues and risks for senior management.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are responsive to current and future needs.
- Prepare high level written communications such as support guides, plans, reports, presentations, briefs and correspondence.
