Job description

About the role:
An exciting opportunity is available through a new role in the Business Support Division within Intelligence & Covert Support Command (ICSC). ICSC is seeking a VPS5 Senior Procurement/Contract Practitioner who will assist in navigating government procurement processes, write applications, support ICSC procurement governance and assist with contract management.

Your duties will include:
* Working alongside specialist Divisional Managers and local Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand operational and business requirements.
* Liaising with relevant Victoria Police stakeholders and suppliers to co-ordinate end-to-end procurement processes.
* Familiarising with technical products to support asset purchasing and contract management.
* Supporting a number of consecutive procurement processes, responding to changing priorities and time-sensitive requests.
As the successful applicant, you will have:
* Highly developed written communication skills, with experience in identifying and effectively communicating issues to a wide range of audiences.
* Demonstrated ability to manage priorities within tight timeframes and allocate/manage workload accordingly.
* Demonstrated experience in procurement activities including familiarity with governance and probity practices and supporting strategic direction and change.
* Ability to work autonomously on your own initiative and be self-motivated and driven.
Requirements and relevant information:
* One (1) x full-time, ongoing position available.
* This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head. To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
