As the Senior Procurement Officer, you will support the procurement and contract strategy, ensuring best practice processes and standards are delivered and embedded across the organisation.
You will:
- Promote a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and compliance with Coal LSL’s obligations as a Corporate Commonwealth entity.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and the wider organisation to embed a culture of best-practice procurement and contract management.
- Provide procurement and contractual advice and support through the tender/quotation preparation, evaluation, negotiation, contract award and delivery phases ensuring principles of risk management, governance and compliance are considered in advice and guidance provided.
- Maintain appropriate systems for procurement and contract management that enable effective contractual reporting and monitoring.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
To be successful in the role of Senior Procurement Officer you will have experience in a similar procurement role, preferably within a highly regulated and/or corporate services environment.
Your background will demonstrate your:
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in facilitating end to end procurement, including the ability to draft and review procurement and contract documentation.
- Experience in the application of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and use of Commonwealth procurement panels and platforms.
- Ability to research, interpret and apply relevant legislation into business practices, including the ability to operationalise requirements of Coal LSL policies and contractual agreements.
- Demonstrated experience in acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to advise and mentor stakeholders and drive best practice procurement and contract management practices.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills, and a focus on attention to detail with an ability to be proactive in identifying, raising and/or managing business improvement initiatives.
- Diploma or Certificate IV (or higher) in Procurement and Contracting, Project Management, Government, Local Government or similar discipline.
