3 year Fixed Term Contract - 35 hours, 5 days per week
Salary: Grade 15 - (salary dependent on experience)
Liverpool City Council will deliver four transformative city-shaping projects over the next three years, worth more than $150 million. The projects will be delivered by the Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants Program (WSIGP) Project Delivery team, which includes dedicated support staff and will drive excellence to create the leading project delivery team in NSW local government.
The projects are:
- Carnes Hill Aquatic Centre
- Brickmakers Creek – creek naturalisation including community building
- Light Horse Park – park and community building
- 3 x city streetscapes
ABOUT THE ROLE.
We are now looking for a Senior Procurement Officer to assist the WSIGP Project Delivery Team to deliver these landmark projects for the Council on time and on budget. These projects will change how Liverpool works, and form part of a commercial portfolio development strategy that supports our organisation’s corporate objectives.
Main responsibilities will include coordinating and managing Council’s tendering and contract processes to meet the requirements of the WSIGP project.
- Facilitating and coordinating best practice for tendering and contracting activities.
- Ensuring Council policies and procedures are being followed.
- Facilitating procurement training to the WSIGP team.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate would be a team player highly motivated to deliver to great infrastructure to the community. The role will support and guide a high volume of procurement activity and deliver value-for-money outcomes. You will also.
- Hold a formal procurement, purchasing or contract related certification from a University, TAFE or recognised industry body.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a procurement role.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Hold a Class-C Driver’s License
Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
