About the Role
The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery of best value procurement solutions and practices for all relevant goods and services obtained by the organisation.
- Assist the Manager – Procurement Service in the development and promotion of procurement strategies, in the continuous improvement and transformation of Procurement processes, objectives, outcomes and effective work practices. This includes but is not limited to category planning, vendor management, risk management, commercial outcomes and benefits realisation.
- Undertake business needs assessment, supply market analysis and commercial risk assessments to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
- Support and encourage key stakeholders to raise the level of awareness and education across WMQ on Procurement expertise, policies and procedures to drive early engagement, compliance and improved governance. Report breaches of material non-compliance.
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for WMQ in relation to all works undertaken by the Uniting Care Procurement Hub (UCPH) and contribute to the Procurement Hub operations and implement outcomes as required.
- Prepare, and assist other team members in the preparation of, procurement and contracting documentation, including approvals, tenders, evaluation, award recommendations, variations, terminations, etc.
- Ensure successful handover and implementation of new contracts, suppliers and processes to the business owners.
- Analyse and assist in the production of financial expenditure information and reports to facilitate the development and success of procurement strategies.
- Liaise with operational teams and management to provide advice relating to product and process risk and appropriate mitigation actions
About You
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of Procurement and category management processes and methods.
- 3+ year equivalent experience in similar role.
- High attention to detail, excellent personal organisation skills and the ability to prioritise and work effectively in a busy environment.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of applications particularly Word, Outlook and Excel and database management programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-functional knowlege and stakeholder management with an ability to partner and collaborate with multiple leaders, functions and suppliers
