Seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to support a busy government team based in Nedlands
Your new company
A major government organisation based in Nedlands, are seeking a number of procurement professionals who can join the busy procurement and contracts team. You will initially be engaged with this team on a temporary basis, working full-time hours and being paid at a competitive hourly rate. This department is easily accessible by public transport, and has available paid parking facilities on site.
Your new role
As the Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying, consulting and facilitating procurement processes for requirements across the organisation
- Overseeing the procurement process for medium-risk procurement processes, including procurement planning, tender documentation and evaluation
- Negotiating with internal and external stakeholders around procurement terms and costs
- Preparing reports and delivering presentations related to procurement matters
- Conducting market research to identify suitable suppliers in the market
- Consult and develop Key Performance Indicators and scoring matrix for tender evaluations
- Supporting with contract management tasks as required, including organising contract extensions, variations and risk assessments
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate a strong career within procurement, as well as display:
- Previous experience managing medium-risk contracts
- Previous experience working in the government sector (desirable)
- Advanced written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and advanced organisation skills
