About the role

The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating and undertaking sourcing and contract management activities to ensure value for money is realised, contracts deliver required outcomes, and risks are appropriately managed across Renewal SA through the procurement process. Specifically, the role contributes to the development, delivery, maintenance, implementation, and compliance with Renewal SA’s Procurement, Contract Management, and associated policies. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Developing and implementing specific procurement strategies in conjunction with key business stakeholders, including developing and reviewing procurement and contract management documentation 
  • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives and strategies 
  • Providing procurement expertise, consultative services, and probity advice in relation to procurement processes. 

Who we are looking for

This role requires a high level of consultative internal and external stakeholder liaison, strong communication skills and experience leading multi-disciplinary teams is essential. Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management in a government environment is desirable. 

The ideal candidate will have a track record of facilitating teams through the end-to-end procurement process and the ability to advise others on appropriate market approaches.
