How will I help?  

This role sits within the Cash & Transactional Banking Line of Business (CTB LOB) and is directly responsible for the implementation and embedment of requirements relating to CPS230 Operational Risk Management and Data Risk. 

The role sits in the Cash & Transactional Banking Line of Business. The primary objectives are to embed processes relating to the identification, onboarding, and management of critical data elements (CDEs) relevant to CTB and to drive changes in response to CPS230 requirements including strengthening the management of operational risk and responses to business disruptions.

Key Responsibilities :  

This role is a self-leadership role, which will require the individual to:

• Identify critical data elements (CDEs) for the Village, working with data and technology teams to document and validate business data flows and controls.
• Design and create processes for the ongoing maintenance of the Village CDEs
• Manage control gaps or weaknesses relating to Village CDEs.
• Identify critical business processes for the Village.
• Uplift Village Business Continuity Plans (BCP) based on CPS230 requirements.
• Identify third parties associated to critical processes used by the Village.

What do I need?  

• Deep experience with operational and/or data risk management. Business continuity experience would be highly regarded.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory environment and translating regulatory requirements into business processes.
• Exposure to working with programs/projects to deliver outcomes.
• Structured mindset with planning, delivery and problem solving.
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate for changes in the market, regulatory and business priorities.
• Strong operator with experience and skills in planning, project management, delivery, time management/efficiency and decision making.
• Communication, networking and influencing skills.
• Challenging the status quo around process and administration.
