The Reserve Bank of Australia is embarking on a program of work to uplift its cyber security controls across the IT landscape. We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead this program and uplift the Banks security controls as defined by the ACSC Essential Eight Maturity Model. Furthermore, you will lead and develop individuals and teams to achieve goals and deliver RBA outcomes.
To achieve this, you will:
- Develop and oversee robust and achievable program and project plans to manage the quality delivery of multiple, concurrent projects with complex interdependencies with other projects in our portfolio.
- Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key business and technology stakeholders to successfully deliver change.
- Lead a team of technical specialists introducing improvements to technology, process and people capabilities while maintaining the Bank's high levels of security and availability.
- Oversee procurement and vendor management to ensure delivery of program benefits, compliance with procurement policies and value for money.
- Ensure realisation of agreed program benefits and effective transition of deliverables to operational management.
- Identify and respond to issues, risks, and opportunities, supporting the team to deliver agreed program outcomes.
- Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems, and processes to enable the Bank to deliver project change more effectively.
Your background
We are looking for someone with great people and leadership skills who has proven experience managing large and complex I.T. security programs, using both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Your skills
- Proven program management experience in complex and large-scale technical environments.
- Previous experience delivering security controls across an organisation and preferably, implementing controls defined in the ACSC Essential Eight Maturity Model.
- Extensive stakeholder engagement experience dealing with senior business and IT executives and meeting competing demands to expectations.
- Exceptional communications and engagement skills in connecting people to purpose and outcomes.
- Knowledge and significant experience of various leadership styles and facilitation techniques, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.
- Experience working in critical operational industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Utilities, operational Government departments, etc.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
- Agile and Scrum Certifications (CSM, CSPO, PSM II, A-CSM).
- Program management Certifications (MSP).
- Project Management Certifications (PMBOK, Prince 2).
