Senior Project Accountant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Accountant to support our clients financial operations and ensure the successful delivery of their construction projects. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing the financial aspects of the projects, liaising with key stakeholders, and driving financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for multiple large-scale commercial construction projects.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to stay within budget.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and project performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Liaise with external auditors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Support the Financial Controller in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and project cost control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
