Role Purpose

Toparticipate in Global Maritime Australia Pty Ltd. Engineering and Marine Warranty business unit, team onoffshore installation projects.

 

Project Engineer shallundertake to work as part of a team to assist the Marine Operations Manager /Project Manager as directed. He / She will be able to problem solve, workindependently, develop detailed procedures / Task plans. Have high focus onsafety of life and property.  Liaisingclosely with clients to ensure that their expectations are met. The work willbe carried out in a professional manner. He/she shall perform the work inaccordance with oral or written instructions from the Project Manager and makefull use of the best advice and expertise of his colleagues. All personnel areresponsible to the assigned Project Manager and Marine Operations Manager forthe quality of their work.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities on shore andOffshore

·       Participate in relevant projects

·       Manage minor projects in department if relevant

·       Provide technical advice to members of the team andinternal and external clients

·       Assist prepare proposals for new work

·       Prepare and give presentations on project issues.

·       Keep team members informed on Project progress anddevelopments.

·       Write procedures, task plans

·       Capable of working across several business streamsin Marine Warranty, Engineering and Marine Operations

·       Assist in the readiness for offshore executionincluding integration with company Asset plan, manpower and materialrequirements.

·       Attending vessels during mobilization anddemobilisation

·       Prepare and issue MOCs

·       Prepare for- and, as required, attend SJA

·       Ensure that Lessons Learned are being captured

·       Contribute to good communication/cooperation withManagement and key individuals within the organization.

·       Participate in design verifications, LOPA, HAZID andHAZOP meetings.

  

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience required

·       MEng/ MSC in relevant degree subject or equivalent training

·       Advanceduser of software within his/her area of expertise

·       Knowledgeof Classification regulations and industry standards

·       Communicateswell both in written and oral English

·       Isflexible and delivers work of high quality

·       Atleast 5 years’ relevant experience as Engineer

·       Experiencein offshore decommissioning particularly heavy lifts topsides etc

·       Experiencein offshore wind projects desirable

·       Thisrole demands a flexible approach to working hours and periods away from homeboth onshore and offshore.

·       Domesticand some International travel is expected as part of this role for clientmeetings, Project Engineering on project vessels or offshore installation.
