Senior Project Engineer

MAK Industrial Water Solutions is a national water & waste water treatment specialist.  MAK Water designs & manufactures a wide range of water treatment plants at its Perth workshop, and supports its customers with a network of service teams across Australia.

We are an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of water treatment plants, with a wide range of technologies, and a strong future order book for plants to be installed in Australia and overseas.

THE ROLE

MAK Water currently have a vacancy for an experienced Project Engineer/Manager, to manage projects from design, through procurement, manufacture, workshop testing and then site commissioning. The role requires the individual to be a motivated, self-starter working within a team of Project Managers, Engineers and Draftspersons ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time and on budget. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the principle focus of this role is to:

• Manage projects from design to commissioning
• Client communication throughout the project
• Oversee fabrication in MAK Water workshop
• Factory testing and then site commissioning
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and supplies
• Provide technical support and solutions to assist in preparation of estimates, quotes and tenders

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will:

• Have a tertiary qualification in engineering (mechanical preferred)
• Have a minimum of 5 years experience managing projects
• Be experienced in design and project management for process plants
• Have a proactive, constructive approach to resolving problems
• Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Value safety and quality in all project deliveries
