This client is looking to hire a Senior Project manager that has strong MSP (Managed service provider) background in there most recent role opportunities, with having had experience with the networking/security side of Project Engineering is advantageous. The purpose of Senior Project Engineer is to lead the Professional Services department in the following areas.
Providing guidance to other team members throughout the business, not just in the Professional Services team.
Were applicable, assist the sales team with scoping and quoting solutions for our clients.
Delivering projects on time and under budget while providing regular updates to the client during delivery and delivering the highest quality solution possible for the client.
Completing the highest quality documentation to assist with ongoing support.
Providing feedback and voicing new ideas to improve any processes or systems.
What is expected of you:
Initiate/engage the kick off meeting with the client to define deliverables, time lines and requirements.
Populate project management tool, identify any resources required and advise department management.
Monitor individual project delivery success, including identifying, managing and promptly reporting issues,
such as scope creep, delays or risks.
Communicate with clients regularly in a variety of ways (e.g. phone, on-site, remote) depending on what is
required and the client needs.
Complete technical components of the project deployment, ensuring that Standards are adhered to
(e.g. building servers, deploying software, configuring equipment).
Identify any training requirements regarding what has been implemented or is unique and report these to the
Professional Services Manager.
Deliver client end user training and provide familiarisation and explanation of the new environment, (e.g.
recorded Teams group sessions, one-on-one training, responding to questions and other training
requirements).
Track and record the project plan and budget, as appropriate (daily/weekly), to ensure that it is on time and
within budget. Promptly report any variances to the Professional Services Manager.
Complete project documentation.
Complete time sheets.
Ideally this role is required to be full time five days a week on site, however that can be negotiated depending on what project you are working on from time to time.
