AddressMcConnell Dowell Constructors Aust. Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer with a Marine background to join our Wharf Remediation Project based on Groote Eylandt off the coast of NT.
This is an exciting project for McConnell Dowell team and we’re in search of professionals looking for a challenging yet rewarding experience working alongside our industry professionals.
As a Senior Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the effective Engineering, Planning, Quality, Survey, Cost Control and Scheduling functions for the project.
- Compliance with the Safety and Environmental Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate the preparation and change of construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements. Advise on actions to be taken to prevent or improve undesirable trends in progress.
- Develop and oversee inspection practices of Site & Project Engineers to ensure effective and satisfactory progress and completion of all work areas for the project.
- Carry out progressive engineering audits of temporary works in accordance with the audit schedule.
About You
The Senior Project Engineer will need Marine project experience preferably from a contractor background to be involved in remote Marine works construction.
- Minimum of 5 years in Project Engineering with project management knowledge and/or trade background
- Self-confident and able to persuade, convince or impress others in order to gain their commitment and co-operation to a course of action.
- Sound working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same
- Must have Marine experience, piling and experience working on floating platforms.
- Working with subcontractors/vendors as well as sufficient in engineering management systems
- Must be open to FIFO work
