We are seeking highly motivated Senior Project Engineers for site-based opportunities in Papua New Guinea, on a FIFO roster.
The successful candidate will provide engineering services and project management support for assigned projects; provide advice and support for staff involved on the project/contract; and coach and mentor a team of Project Engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Site Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality
- Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract
- Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required
- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the engineering team
- Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met
- Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project

What you will bring:
- Extensive experience in Project Engineering on large-scale resources construction/maintenance projects
- Australian recognised tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- A methodical approach, high attention to detail and take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of own work
- Be delivery focused, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the project in delivering to a tight schedule
- Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels
- Proof of right to work in Australia and a valid passport
