The Role
We are actively seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer/Project Manager to oversee and drive major geotechnical projects. This key position involves managing complex projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet technical standards, budget guidelines, and timelines. As a leader within the company, you will also mentor junior engineers and contribute to our continuous improvement by bringing innovative solutions and practices.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage large-scale geotechnical projects, ensuring they comply with all technical and regulatory standards.
- Client Interaction: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring client satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Technical Oversight: Provide expert guidance on geotechnical design and analysis, ensuring solutions are both practical and based on sound engineering principles.
- Financial Management: Oversee project financials, including budgeting, invoicing, and cost control.
- Team Development: Mentor junior engineers and project staff, promoting a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
- Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them effectively.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports and proposals, documenting project progress and outcomes for client review.
About You
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are highly valued.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in geotechnical engineering, with a solid track record in project management and leadership.
- Licenses: Current driver’s license required.
- Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in technical report writing.
- Personal Qualities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to mentor others, and a commitment to ethical engineering practices.
