About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a motivated individual in the position of Senior Project Engineer to join our Civil Operations Engineering team on a permanent full-time basis. The position of Senior Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring Council’s Civil Operations projects and programs are completed within priority time and budget constraints. You will ensure all designated projects, programs and works are appropriately scoped, developed and implemented to achieve desired outcomes.
Essential Criteria
- A degree in Civil Engineering and/or relevant discipline.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in road and drainage construction and maintenance works.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the preparation and evaluation of tenders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project estimating and cost control.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and supervision of day labour and contractors.
- Demonstrated experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite including computer based Project Management Software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card.
- Current NSW Class C Driver Licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated knowledge in Council, TfNSW and Australian Standards.
- Previous experience within Local Government
- Current Traffic Control tickets
Salary: The salary range for this position ranges from $109,032 - $126,208 per annum plus 11% Superannuation. A 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance will be payable in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The salary will be negotiated based on the skills, qualifications and experience of the preferred applicant.
Access to a Leaseback Vehicle is available with this position; however, it is not a condition of employment.
