Role Details
The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Senior Project Lead to join the Assets and Facilities unit on a full-time ongoing basis.
The role is responsible for:
- Delivering expert project management leadership, evaluation and policy advice for initiatives that address the DCP Corporate Facilities portfolio.
- Providing specialist consultancy services to DCP regarding the development and delivery of projects with a value for money focus.
- Managing and coordinating highly specialised child protection facilities projects in accordance with Assets and Facilities/DCP goals.
- Reviewing strategic corporate accommodation requirements to meet the agency’s future requirement in the support of DCP frontline operations.
We are looking for a dynamic project specialist who has high level knowledge and experience in the planning, management and delivery of facility management and asset related projects and programs.
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to lead and manage multiple major projects and complex activities concurrently at a senior level.
Your exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills will allow you to coordinate and facilitate formal panels and committees, and provide expert advice to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have high level analytical skills and the ability to interpret and advise on complex sets of information including project documentation and construction drawings.

About the Business
The Department for Child Protection (DCP) plays a key role in the protection of children, young people and their families within South Australia. The department provides support to vulnerable children and young people to be safe, strong and connected.
The Assets and Facilities team is responsible for the provision of appropriate accommodation for service delivery and corporate lines of business.
As part of these functions, the Assets and Facilities group works collectively with other departments along with DCP’s specialist lines of business, to action any property related matter that may range from simple maintenance requests through to complex facilities planning and reconfigurations operations.
The Assets and Facilities team is the central point of contact for any accommodation or property related matter for the Department of Child Protection.
