Form of workJoin CMC’s Stockbroking Technology Team as a Senior Project Manager on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract based onsite in our Barangaroo office. Please note that this role is only open to Sydney based candidates with full working rights (Citizen/Permanent Resident).

The role of the Senior Project Manager is pivotal within this confidential greenfield project. This position demands in-depth engagement with project stakeholders within the business, as well as with external vendors and partners, to guarantee that delivery is accomplished on time and to the specified standards. You will be primarily responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a particular work-stream in partnership with an external partner.
Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week.
As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for:
- Developing project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) and ensuring technical feasibility
- Detailing project planning and progress tracking
- Coordinating internal resources and external partners for successful project execution
- Monitoring and reporting to the Director of Stockbroking on status of risks, issues and progress towards milestones and deliverables
- Establishing strong working relationships with clients and partners and act as a day to day contact point
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
- Risk and issue identification and management
- Defining training and rolling out strategy
- Working closely with Developers, Testers and business stakeholders to ensure a high quality technical delivery that meets requirements
- Understanding and adhering to CMC Markets’ compliance guidelines as well as local regulatory requirements
- Working closely with the marketing project resource to ensure branding , collateral and client communications are produced on time and to high standard
- Taking all reasonable steps to ensure appropriate confidentiality
Key Skills & Experience:
Essential
- 5+ years’ experience within projects and delivery of technology solutions
- 10+ years’ experience in the financial services industry
- Understanding of both agile and waterfall development methodologies and full SDLC
- Project Management certification or accreditation e.g. Certified Practicing Project Manager (via AIPM) and/or Project Management Professional (via PMI) and/or Prince 2 Practitioner
Desirable:
- Experience in retail or institutional stockbroking or banking
- Experience with ASX / CHESS /NZX, SGX or international stock exchange and/or online trading
