What is the role?

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to work with us on a large construction/mining project based in QLD. The successful candidate must be willing to FIFO to the site for the first 1-2 months initially to understand the project scope. After that, the position will be based in CBD Brisbane (Monday-Friday). The successful candidate must have construction experience and be based permanently in Brisbane. Mining experience is desirable but not essential. 

Striving to excel, this role requires a “can-do” attitude with top notch proactive people skills. This role will require someone to:

• Assist our client in steering through the project from start to finish and help the client through project challenges with proactive Project Management skills. 
• Capable of challenging the team to ensure project ON-TIME delivery.
• Autonomously assist the team with successful project management strategy and execution to ensure ON-TIME delivery.
• Confident/thorough reporting and communications to provide trust and satisfaction to all stakeholders.

A few more advantageous traits about you: 

• You must have 5 -10 years of experience working in Construction as a Senior Project Manager.
• Fantastic organisational skills and confidence in executing what needs to be done on a daily basis. 
• Proficient in planning tools (P6, MS Projects)
• Strong project management skills.
• Great verbal and writing skills supported by a go-getter attitude. You prefer to proactively look for solutions rather than waiting for the answer to come.
• Someone who understands the importance of teamwork and appreciates the fact that we never work alone.
• Ability to work alongside a Project Coordinator who will be based onsite, so great communication skills is key.
