Campus Life’s Capital Works and Minor Projects (CWMP) team plans and delivers new built assets, refurbishment of existing facilities and replacement or upgrade of services infrastructure for Griffith University. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead a diverse team of Project Managers and project coordinator/s in the delivery of a complex portfolio of Capital Works.

CWMP delivers projects on all of Griffith University's campuses. The projects range in value and complexity and are delivered via varying contract delivery methods.

• Ensure successful delivery of all projects within an allocated programme, based on the time, cost and quality standards required by the University.
• Manage, support and mentor the team.
• Liaise extensively with internal clients.
• Perform detailed programme reporting functions upwards.

About you

• The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have extensive experience in project management and team leadership in a construction delivery environment.
• A strong general knowledge of the sector; significant experience in delivering projects in the built environment; and strong understanding of procurement strategies and construction contracts is also necessary.
• The ability to clearly communicate with a diverse range of people and organisations is essential, including a capacity write clearly and succinctly.
• Ability to provide project leadership and foster a positive team environment for the project management team, design consultants, builders, other project stake- holders and University staff.
• Extensive technical problem-solving skills are essential for this position.

• Base Salary $144,972 + 17% super per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation $169,617 per annum.

This is a fixed term (until 31 December 2026), full time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
