Form of workWell established private developer, undertaking a joint venture with a leading global institution to develop a portfolio of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (“PBSA”) assets. They currently have a national development pipeline with multiple developments in, or nearing construction.
The Role
Working closely with the development team, this role will focus on the delivery phase of the development lifecycle. You will have responsibility for managing relationships with the Head Contractor and the consultant team, acting as the conduit between internal and external stakeholder groups. The key to your success will be in your ability to drive the project team to the successful delivery of development milestones (program, budget, quality).
While initially focused on delivery, this role offers a rare opportunity to gain experience across the full property lifecycle, where you will gain exposure to development origination/acquisition, feasibility analysis, town planning and design development.
About You
This role will suit candidates who are currently working for a developer or are coming from Tier 1 or 2 construction backgrounds. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will have the following skillset & experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering or project management
- Proven experience delivering large scale complex projects
- Strong understanding of D&C contracts and proven experience delivering projects under this model.
- Expert project management skills and experience coordinating a team of subcontractors/consultants through project delivery.
- Clear and decisive decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail, across built-form delivery, commercial documentation, and communication with key stakeholders.
- Proactively identify key project risks and initiate risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
