This is a dynamic, fast paced and results driven role which will require you to be able to think on your feet and work with a variety of people, including internal staff members, clients and customers. We are offering a permanent full-time position with an attractive remuneration package, based in Sydney.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee select projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Oversee and assist with the selection tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs to ensure an acceptable profitable margin.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Project Manager team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager
- Construction Management Degree/Qualification in Building & Construction
- Relevant state Builders Licence
- A valid full driver’s licence
- Insurance experience highly desirable
- Strong knowledge and expertise in construction methodologies, and project management principles
- Proven track record of successfully delivering major projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and experience in order to gain clear results.
- Proficient in MS Project/Excel + other Construction Scheduling Software Platforms
- Honest and truthful at all times
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction related OH&S legislation.
