Looking for a role where project management skills can support your community?
Last year marked 100 years since we began treating the wastewater from sinks, toilets and drains at the Bendigo and Castlemaine Water Reclamation Plants. Fast forward just over a century, and we have big plans to ensure these critical pieces of infrastructure continue to underpin our community’s health, and support growth and success for the future.
To help us, we’re looking for a Project Manager to own the Optimisation Program as we embark on major upgrades at the Bendigo and Castlemaine plants.
As you grow in this role, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a wide-ranging program of assigned projects in support of the Water Reclamation Plant teams’ objectives. You’ll become the leader and owner of the 5-year Wastewater Reclamation Optimisation program to ensure the list of priority projects remain current. Resource management will be a strength of yours and preparing project briefs and other documentation will be a breeze.
A snapshot of your day
- Collaborating with the Bendigo & Castlemaine WRP Project Managers to ensure alignment around project priorities.
- Delivering assigned projects to specification.
- Managing ongoing collaboration and input from operating partners such as Service Stream.
- Undertake project evaluations, investigations and feasibility analysis.
- Preparing all documentation required and ensuring the documentation meets the required standards.
- Ensuring all project risks are managed and business improvements are identified and actioned as required.
- Ensuring that Coliban is a safe workplace and maintains a sustainable environment and meets all its statutory obligations.
Ours is a tight-knit team with a great culture. First and foremost, we’re looking for someone who is the right fit. The successful candidate will also have experience working in water or wastewater treatment along with a proven ability to deliver solutions on time, within budget and to specification. A tertiary degree in engineering, science or a related discipline is required, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in Project Management.
You’ll be a stickler for detail, have great communication and project management skills, won’t be afraid of a deadline, and will be keen to grow your career in an organisation doing work that matters to its community.
Sound like you? We’d love to hear from you.
