About the opportunity:The primary role of the
Senior Project Manager is to provide project management services to ANZCA's projects (both strategic improvement and compliance). This includes, effective management of scope, schedules, stakeholders, project finances, issues, risks dependencies and changes for all projects to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.This position reports to the Head of Projects.Direct Reports

Specifically, you will have:Essential:- Strong experience with project delivery in information technology including:
- A Bachelors' degree in business, computer science/information technology or relevant discipline
- Sound experience in project management, leading projects end to end
- A good understanding of leading project methodologies and frameworks
- Strong knowledge of the standard development lifecycle
- Strong technical / infrastructure knowledge
- Experience with Delivery models such as Waterfall and Agile
- A project management qualification such as Prince2, PMP
- A minimum of 8 years project management experience
- Strong track record in the successful delivery of medium and large-scale projects
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution expertise
- Demonstrated experience in proactive and effective vendor management
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and constructive working relationships at all levels and across diverse groups internally and externally
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate and concise submissions, applications, proposals and reports
- Strong demonstrated team leadership
- Sound financial management skills and experience
- Sound demonstrated experience in stakeholder partnerships and strategic focus
- Well-developed negotiation skills and the ability to achieve critical success factors for high quality commercial outcomes
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions
- Sound judgement and decision making abilities
- Sound experience using Microsoft Project and agile tools such as Kanban boards to plan and manage projects
- Solid experience using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
Desirable:- Project management experience in an educational setting
- Understanding of project accounting and proficiency in cost/benefit financial analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage resources within a defined budget to achieve service standards and organisational goals
- Systems analysis and documentation skills
- A high-level understanding of test management methods
- Experience with PPM tools (project portfolio management tool)
