The Company:
RM Watson is a remedial construction company operating across Greater Sydney. The company runs upwards of 20 projects concurrently, each of varying size and complexity. Based in Annandale, the team consists of approximately 65 office and site-based employees.
The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager responsible for managing major remedial construction projects from initiation to completion. You will lead teams, coordinate resources, and ensure major projects are delivered on time and, within budget. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure the successful execution of remedial construction projects.
About you:
- Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with recent experience in the remedial sector.
- Technical abilities across design, programming, budgeting & project delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and exceptional leadership qualities.
- Ability to work in live environments and deliver complex remedial solution to existing structures including waterproofing, façade repairs, recladding façade upgrades/replacements.
- An understanding of processes associated with design and construct and construct only commercial agreements and ability to work within these constraints.
- Attention to detail, reliable, push program, commercially savvy and able to lead/drive a team of people and get the most out of them and all consultants to achieve excellent project outcomes.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, with consideration to all statutory obligations, building codes and standards.
- Strong leadership abilities, decision-making skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible roles.
- Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
