An exciting opportunity to work within a sought-after government department, with a high rate and contract length with high potential to extend!

Your Role:

As the Senior Project Officer you will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the acquisition, development, maintenance and use of computer and telecommunication systems within organisations.

Your will be responsible for the successful acceptance of new and changed services.

Your role will work in collaboration with project delivery and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle to guarantee that services and technology are successfully transitioned into operations.

Your Skills and Experience:

• You will undertake service design and transition activities to ensure new and changed services meet established requirements
• You will work collaboratively with project managers and project resources throughout the project lifecycle
• You will ensure that project artefacts, frameworks, and processes are developed, delivered, and fit for purpose
• You will assist with the review of service transition management reporting and ensure insights
• You will work collaboratively with support and operational teams in the delivery of enhancements
• You will assist with the execution of the service transition management processes across IT services and projects
• You will identify service transition project risks and escalate accordingly

Your Desirable Criteria:

• Technology Background, IT Project Officer/Coordinator experience

• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience

• Knowledge/experience with physical infrastructure, data centres would be a bonus

• Knowledge of Networking and User Computing

• Previous government experience/background

• Stakeholder management experience
