An exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Officer has become available working within a sought-after government department! With a high rate and long contract length with potential to extend!
Your Role:
As the Senior Project Officer you will support projects in line with supporting Indigenous Communities.
Your role will manage, design and implement a range of projects, in line with the organisations responsibilities, which improve service delivery and operations and contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.
Your Duties:
- You will design, implement, and coordinate projects that deliver business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs by using project management methodologies and processes
- You will manage, plan, and implement projects, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and monitoring budgets to ensure successful project milestones are met.
- You will deliver on multifaceted projects and processes
- You will prepare project-related documents for stakeholders
- You will provide advice and reports to the senior members of the team to ensure business and future decision-making are considered
- You will liaise and work across government divisions and non-government stakeholders to ensure interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation
- You will provide advice and support to project team members on undertaking tasks and implementing project plans
- You will engage and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
Your Desired Skills and Experience:
- Project Coordinator/Officer experience.
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent industry or professional experience in the relevant area.
- A current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Government experience a bonus
- Experience/background in housing/accommodation/tenancies
- Experience in Indigenous projects preferred
